The Dangote Group is one of the biggest and foremost growing conglomerates in Nigeria, with an annual group turnover in excess of N300billion (US $2.5 billion). Its lines of business vary from cement production, sugar refining, pasta production, flour milling to salt refining.
Within the group lies the successful company, Dansa Foods. Over the last 4 years The Brand Union have helped grow this division by providing packaging design solutions for their milk, yogurt, fruit juice and carbonated soft drink categories.
With the market being as saturated as it is, Dansa Foods needed differentiation from their competitors. Our challenge was to take the ‘literal’ needs of the market and interpret them into a design that would be understood within the Nigerian market as well as represent a world-class product. It needed to be generic and literal, as well as differentiating.
The result is a graphically pleasing packaging design for UHT milk, drinking yoghurts and flavoured milk that stands out from the competition.
Dansa now also have a set of “ownable” images and photographs of the above mention products that can be used for billboards, spreads and adverts to name a few.
