The international KFC brand team embarked on an initiative to align the KFC environment globally. This was approached through the creation of Global Design Tenets that, whilst providing a unifying theme for all markets, encouraged each region to create an expression of the tenets that was best suited to their consumers.
The Brand Union worked with the local and international KFC brand teams to create an environment that had the flexibility to be rolled out across a multitude of facility types, whilst expressing the primary brand icons consistently.

In South Africa, the much loved Colonel Saunders stands, larger than life at the entrance, providing the promise of highest quality home style food; inviting lighting and seating contribute to the creation of an enjoyable dining experience and the bold use of red on the building together with a unique architectural style create a bold icon on the South African landscape.
